Levy Park, an award-winning premium public green space in the heart of inner-city Houston, TX, has established an exciting, community-focused, mixed-use environment within Houston’s Upper Kirby District. Redevelopment of the park featured curated, year-round programming, native landscaping, playscapes, water features, a performance pavilion, an event lawn, a community garden, and a dog park. Some obstacles Burton faced and overcame were rain delays, coordination of adjacent and overlapping private development projects, and planning around century-old live oak trees.

Levy Park has won many awards, including:
ULI Houston Development of Distinction Award, Urban Open Space, 2018
ULI Houston Development of Distinction Award, People’s Choice, 2018
HBJ Landmark Award – Public-Private Partnership, 2018
