Burton Construction, a leader in the Texas commercial construction industry, is announcing the opening of a new office in Austin, Texas. This new location sits in the heart of North Austin at 9442 Capital of Texas Highway North, Plaza 1 Suite 500, Austin, TX 78759 and will support Burton’s corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas. The Austin office will be spearheaded by Burton’s Tucker Jensen. Jensen, an Austin native, brings over 11 years of industry experience in both commercial construction and interiors to the organization.
“The decision to expand our footprint into Austin is an exciting step for Burton,” stated Shawn McAlpin, President of Burton Construction. “The expansion gives us the opportunity to better serve the needs of our existing clients in Austin and enhance the support available to our current projects across central Texas.”
“The opening of our Austin office is a great opportunity for Burton and is an exciting step for myself,” mentioned Jensen. “I’m glad to have the opportunity to not only be returning to my hometown, but to be leading Burton’s growth in Austin and the surrounding areas.”

In this role, Clark will continue overseeing the growth of Burton Construction, Burton Interiors, and Burton’s expansion into Austin. Clark originally joined Burton Construction in August of 2013 as Director of Business Development.
“Our organization is growing rapidly, and I look forward to the future of Burton as we continue to grow this business for years to come,” said Clark. “I am focused on the growth of Burton Interiors along with the expansion of our core business.”
“Establishing an Austin office has been a longtime goal of Burton Construction,” stated Cullen Burton, Executive Vice President of Burton Construction. “With John Clark and Tucker Jensen leading the charge, I look forward to expanding Burton’s reputation of exceptional service and high-quality construction across Central Texas.”
