Brad Burton founded Burton Construction in Houston, Texas in 2004. He based his company on three pillars that were of the utmost importance to him personally: respect, reliability, and reputation. According to Brad, “Anybody out there can build a building and be a general contractor. Burton is a service company and we are only as good as the last job we did in everyone’s mind. We are here to provide better service and to treat each other, our subcontractors, clients and everyone else with respect.”
His vision for Burton Construction continues to combine fresh talent with a can-do winning attitude, aiming to always deliver a very responsive, quality, economical construction service while having fun. With his legacy, Burton Construction has gone on to achieve industry-wide accomplishments and has become a go-to team for high-end construction and interior projects.
Brad had over thirty four years of experience in the construction industry and was very well versed in all aspects of construction. He was responsible for over 20 million square feet of commercial and industrial space, retail and mixed-use environments, parking garages and infrastructure, banks and financial institutions, education, medical, hospitality and recreational facilities.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Civil Engineering from the University of Houston.
Before founding Burton Construction, Brad was Vice President of E.E. Reed Construction, Senior Project Manager with The Pinkerton and Laws Company, Vice President/Project Manager for Gierhart/Vaughn Construction and Project Manager/Estimator for Pence Construction Corporation.
In July 2015, Brad unexpectedly passed away, leaving Burton Construction with the greatest legacy a leader can leave – an organization with the depth, determination, and strong resources to continue serving their clients and working with their industry partners in the same principled way that he always did.
Everyone at Burton Construction continues to benefit from Brad’s wisdom, coaching, caring, and above all his example of how to treat clients and industry partners. Brad’s children, Cullen and Taylor, have taken leadership positions within Burton Construction and continue ensuring their father’s values and legacy remain the driving factors behind Burton’s growing success.
